Math rock Instrumental rock stalwarts Don Caballero are releasing their first live album on November 27 via Joyful Noise. Kinda surprising that, in their long career, the venerable Pittsburgh band hasn’t officially released a live album. Anyway, the record, titled Gang Banged with a Headache and Live (see what I did with the headline?) documents a 2003 Chicago show featuring the reformed lineup of Gene Doyle, Jeff Ellsworth, Jason Jouver, and (obviously) Damon Che. The “authorized bootleg” features material from over a decade of the band’s career, spanning from their 1993 debut For Respect to songs that would eventually end up on 2006’s World Class Listening Problem.
