Screw having things like skeletons, body segments, specialized circulatory and respiratory organs, or even a goddamn body cavity. Flat Worms is a b-a-n-d BAND, and they’re intent on proving that three dudes in 2017 without gimmick or pretension can still make some pretty exciting music using nothing but actual instruments. The proof of this hypothesis has now been captured in their debut album which is titled (very un-gimickly) Flat Worms.

The band is comprised of members of various other bands that make similarly authentic music including Sic Alps, Kevin Morby Band, Ty Segall Band, Dream Boys and Thee Oh Sees.

If all this startling straightforwardness sounds like complete lunacy to you, then sample the debut single from Flat Worms, entitled “Pearl,” down below. You’ll get the hang of it in no time.

Meanwhile, Flat Worms will be released October 20 via Castle Face, but you can ensure you reserve your slice of Rock Simplicity History by pre-ordering it now.

The END.
