Uhhh, have you seen Horse Lords in concert yet? If you haven’t, you’d better get on that. They will blow your minds by playing sprawling, krautrock jams that go on for 15 minutes or sometimes more, and then they somehow all manage to end perfectly on time with one another. It’s amazing. They’ve got bass, they’ve got horns, they’ve sometimes got TWO DRUMMERS. If they tour behind this newly announced LP, grip tickets. Please.
What newly announced LP, you ask? Why, Horse Lords will be putting out a full-length album on NNA Tapes in November, which will be a nice break from their (brilliant) self-released mixtapes. It’s called Hidden Cities (they released a trippy-ass trailer for the album in September). And now they’ve released the track “Outer East” for your streaming pleasure, plus given us a sneak peek at the tracklisting for the upcoming album.
