If you think about it, Lapalux hasn’t been around forever. You don’t even have to think about it particularly hard, it’s just kind of a solid fact. Much of human history went on without Lapalux ever existing, particularly the period from the first year to roughly 2008. Some people are very nostalgic about that period of time, because they’re big hater jerks and also because they’re trying to make a labored joke about Lapalux’s debut album Nostalchic. Well, I see through it, buddy. I bet you don’t have anything out on Brainfeeder. Hell, I bet you’ve never even had tea with Flying Lotus.
If you also think about it (sorry to make this such a “thinkpiece” hurr hurr), Lapalux has never toured the United States. This is another thing that does not require strenuous thought, because, once again, it’s just solid fact. But that’s a solid fact that’s about to change! This fall, Lapalux will be heading out on his very first US tour. Starting in New York City (the biggest city in New York, fun fact), the tour will go on for roughly a month, finally ending in… New York City. There’s a whole bunch of shows in other cities in between them. He’s not just hanging out in New York City for a month. If you think about that, it’s true.
