Lil Ugly Mane got high, ate some things, and decided to release new (to us) material via THING S THATARE STUFF

Direct and semi-explicit rumors of his Ugly retirement be damned! Or rather, maybe Travis Miller just has a different interpretation of what we in the media have hastily and autonomously dubbed “retirement,” since the Richmond-born rapper and producer released a new album as Bedwetter just last year — so we know he wasn’t necessarily intending to leave the game entirely. Not to mention that, since word of his “retirement” first came about in 2013, Lil Ugly Mane released both Third Side of Tape and Oblivion Access, the latter of which was billed as “THE LAST OF THE FILTHY WATER FUNNELING OUT OF THE BATHTUB I’VE BEEN SOAKING IN FOR 5 YEARS,” plus “ALL THE SHIT AND CUM AND BLOOD AND PISS AND SWEAT AND FLAKES OF DEAD SKIN AND HAIR COLLECTING BY THE DRAIN.”

So…to clear this all up, it sounds like the only thing that actually got retired was the Lil Ugly Mane moniker. And the fact that THING S THATARE STUFF just got released only goes to show you how serious he is about such weighty pronouncements.

It’s a little under 15 minutes long, and the four tracks were recorded, separately, in 2006, 2011, 2011, and a “couple years ago.” Mane himself attests to stumbling across the songs “IN MY EMAIL,” and they’re just fine if you’re looking to feasibly exhaust your ears with everything LUM has done or had a hand in. Don’t expect much in the way of him actually rapping on this new (retrospective) one, though. Shawn Kemp gets the producer creds.
