Nick Malkin details A Typical Night in the Pit on new album for Soda Gong, shares track

How typical! Los Angeles composer/producer/DJ Nick Malkin has a new release to kick off 2020.

A Typical Night in the Pit follows 2018’s Slow Day on Brilliant Drive, and is his first record with Alex Cobb’s Soda Gong imprint.

The recording is described as “an album that finds the artist absorbed in the density and chaos of the urban complex,” further mining the fertile terrain of hazy, late night sounds Malkin explored with his Afterhours project.
