OSR Tapes announces final year, drops albums by Maher Shalal Hash Baz and CE Schneider Topical

Brooklyn’s OSR Tapes has been a not-for-profit label since 2007, and according to their website, this will be the final year of releases for the label. Most recently released on vinyl from OSR are CE Schneider Topical’s Antifree and Maher Shalal Hash Baz’s Hello NewYork.

CE Schneider Topical dropped a video for “female in images,” and you can stream the album in full on the OSR Bandcamp page. Whoa, what’s Casey Jones doing here? And how are they using time travel? Oops, sorry. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III is on Netflix, and I got distracted. Netflix. Check it out.

Meanwhile, Maher Shalal Hash Baz are a Japanese group active since the early 1980s, and Hello NewYork is their first release since 2009. The album can also be streamed right now, but hey, did you that the Doug & The Beets’ Songs from Bluffington full album is on Spotify? Yes, it’s that Doug from Nickelodeon. You can find just about anything you want to listen to on Spotify. Check it out.
