Careful with yer eyeliner, my dear emotional readers. Princess Nokia — who is a pretty cool New York rapper — has just announced the release date for her “highly anticipated” new mixtape on The Instagram.
That mixtape’s name? A Girl Cried Red.
That same mixtape’s alluded-to release date? An April Friday Called 13. (a.k.a. spooky-ass Friday the 13th — a.k.a. normal-ass April 13 — a.k.a. THIS ACTUAL damn FRIDAY!)
The self-described “emo mixtape” follows last year’s ALSO-critically-acclaimed (but less “emo” and more “melodic post-pop-punk,” in my expert opinion) 1992 Deluxe.
In pretty super-dooper-closely-related news: you can look for her live at Coachella and all-up-in the face of the US and Europe this spring and summer. You don’t have to take my word for that, either. Just peep all those dates listed down below; those numbers and letters DO NOT LIE.
