Following up their collaboration with Big Sean on “Living Single,” Jeremih and Chance The Rapper have hooked their sleighs together (or some other stupid Christmas metaphor) and came up with a surprise nine-track mixtape called Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama. Spoiler alert: it’s Christmas themed.
Guests include Hannibal Buress (“All the Way”), Lud Foe (“I Shoulda Left You”), and TMT favorite Noname (“The Tragedy”). The vibe is slightly more Late Nights (#20) than Coloring Book, but it all feels season appropriate nonetheless, just two rappers from Chicago making a 2016 Christmas album for Chicago. No production info was revealed, but I think there’s Zaytoven on here and perhaps a footwork producer or two on the final track?
