Hip-hop legend Kool Keith has announced a new album coming via Mello Music Group. Feature Magnetic will be out September 16, and is set to include contributions from DOOM and Atmosphere’s Slug (among others).
What’s an album announcement without a brand new track though? “World Wide Lamper,” which premiered concurrently, is a mid-tempo, old-schoolish number that features verses from B.a.R.S. Murre and Dirt Nasty.
Kool Keith has long been considered an unparalleled figure in both mainstream and alternative rap, renowned for his enigmatic, frequently outlandish and irreverent lyricism. Although prolific, to most audiences, he’s best remembered for his cult horrorcore album Dr. Octagonecologyst, released as Dr. Octagon — Keith’s nightmarish alter-ego.
